Ubuntuの [Software Updater] や`apt update`の更新エラーの回避方法

Ubuntu (16.04) の [Software Updater] の起動時や，apt updateコマンドの実行時に，リポジトリー不在によるエラーで更新が失敗することがある。その解決方法を記す。 Ubuntuでは，ソフトウェアの更新時に [Software Updater] (update-manager) を使用する。しかし，起動時に以下の画面が出て，更新に失敗することがある。

この場合，特定のリポジトリーにエラーが出ているために全体のコマンドがエラーとなっている可能性がある。エラー原因となるリポジトリーを特定し，そのリポジトリーを除外することでエラーを回避できる。以下のように，[Software Updater] と同じ機能を持つapt updateコマンドを実行し，その出力内容から問題となるリポジトリーを特定する。

sudo apt update

この場合，「http://ppa.launchpad.net/ikoinoba/ppa/ubuntu xenial」のリポジトリーの調子が悪い。まず，以下のコマンドで[Sottware & Updates]を開く。

software-properties-gtk --open-tab=1

該当リポジトリーである「http://ppa.launchpad.net/ikoinoba/ppa/ubuntu xenial」のチェックを外す。

これでエラーが解決する。再び， [Software Updater] (update-manager)やapt updateを実行すると，エラーなく正常に終了する。問題の発生しているリポジトリーを更新確認対象から外すことで，問題を回避した。しかし，根本的な解決にはなっていない。リポジトリーのURLが変更したなど別の理由があるので，必要なリポジトリーであればさらなる調査が必要となる。
